I’m happy to report that after a month of meditation, I’m feeling better than ever. It explained to me why we feel anxious, how to pause and feel those thoughts instead of pushing them away, and it was insightful. Calm’s 7 Days of Calming Anxiety was a huge help for me. Try them both out and decide for yourself! More mindfulness is always a good thing. It’s not that it’s bad, but when it came time to purchase a subscription, I purchased Calm. Headspace’s little illustrated things don’t do it for me. The nature sounds and photos really do calm me down. I like how calm Calm is (no pun intended). Headspace has good meditations, and they are beautifully narrated, but the interface is a bit busier. I like Calm better than Headspace, but truthfully, it’s probably a personal preference. I mean, I definitely *didn’t* share it, but it was a nice thought and the quotes were good (lol). I also really liked how after each session, they gave you a quote that you could share on social media. These are considered to be their reminders, and while I don’t think they are strong enough for me to stop what I’m doing and start meditating, I did find that they made me more mindful in the moment. One thing I really love about the app is that it sends daily mindfulness quotes. Honestly, I’ve used it for a month and don’t see myself stopping.
